This year, Remembrance Day was especially significant, for it was 100 years ago that the guns stop shooting and world war I ended.
To commemorate this event, over 160 volunteer buglers played the last post in different locations across Perth’s CBD, Northbridge and Kings Park.
“Kiesha D. and I played together under the white arches at Elizabeth Quay. We all played to honour everyone who has served our country during the wars.”
This was coordinated by the RSLWA, an organization made up of current and former Australian Defence Force members, who had planned this event for over a year. It turned out to be a very good turnout.
