In stark contrast to 2013, the weather could not have been any better for the MCC Primary House Athletics Carnival for 2014. On Friday 19 September students from Kindergarten to Year 6, parents and staff met at the Mundaring Recreation Ground, looking forward to a big day of competition and fun!
Over the day, students participated in track events (long and short distances) and field events (tee ball throw and long jump). All of the results for these events were tallied and the students named on the following page were acknowledged for their exceptional individual efforts at our Primary Assembly on Tuesday 23 September.
House Spirit is also a key component to the athletics carnivals and as such all the individual results were tallied in each House across the Middle School and Primary Carnivals. Well done to the House of Tester for a fourth consecutive victory at the MCC House Athletics Carnival!
I would like to thank all the parents and staff for their invaluable assistance over the course of the day, without which the carnival simply would not run – thank you. The excitement from the students and the way everyone helped out throughout the day really contributed to making the carnival such a successful event.
Based on the results from the MCC Primary House Athletics Carnival, a team will be put together to represent the College at the upcoming WACSSA Primary Athletics Carnival next term. This will be an exciting opportunity for our athletes to shine at a significant interschool carnival.
