Congratulations to all our students who competed in the 3rd annual SCEAvision languages performing competition on Tuesday 23 August.

Both Ibu Jones and Mrs Sykes were impressed and proud of all of our student entries, with students from both campuses representing MCC among the other SCEA schools.

From the Primary Campus Chloe H, Amelia G, Holly S and Rihanna H from Year Three performed ‘Naik Naik Puncak Gunung’. Gina B, Jayde H, Hannah C-H, Brianna B and Ebony C from Year Five performed ‘Dari Terabit Matahari’ and Brody S and Daniel B , also from Year Five, performed ‘King Kong Badannha Besar’. All three songs were in Indonesian. The judges were particularly impressed by the students performing in the language learnt at school.

From the Secondary Campus, the talented twins Isaac and Thomas A from Year Seven, performing ‘J’ai Church’ in French, and Phoebe L, also from Year Seven, managed to take out the runner-up trophy for her performance of ‘Pokarekare Ana’, a Maori love song.

Congratulations again to all who performed and thank you to the parents and friends who supported them.
