Summer has brought about a bumper crop of tomatoes in our Parkerville kitchen garden.
When combined with the lovely fresh herbs growing, they make a delicious fresh pasta sauce. A proposed “Community Cookup” is planned for Tuesday 13 March from 6.00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Students from our Parkerville Campus are invited to bring a parent or relative along to participate in an evening in which they will prepare bulk quantities of pasta sauce to assist the Dream Builders Community Care program (based in Midland). The program provides warm meals for those in our community who need extra care.
In addition, those attending will learn how to make fresh pasta.
Due to space restrictions in the commercial kitchen at Parkerville, places are very limited to only 12 students and 12 adult helpers. There is a cost of $16.00 per student/adult pair. Secure your place via TryBooking https://www.trybooking.com/358166.
It is a requirement that all participants have their hair tied-back, wear an apron and enclosed footwear.
