This year, the Duke of Edinburgh Award celebrates its Diamond 60th anniversary internationally.

This prestigious Youth Award was introduced by The Duke of Edinburgh in 1956 and now operates in over 130 countries. This year, the Award celebrates its Diamond 60th anniversary internationally. The ‘Duke of Ed’ Award is designed to empower young people, from 13 years through to 25 years of age,  to develop life skills, self-reliance, confidence and leadership skills through a range of personally motivating activities that present both challenge and reward. The program is a School Curriculum and Standards Authority endorsed program. 

Awardees are also recognised in selection to Australian Universities.
