Ever made pizza for a Maths test? Our Year 1 students have!

Posted by Mrs D’Alessio | Found in: News

Year 1 students have recently been learning about fractions.

They have learnt that when something is split equally into two parts it is called a half and when something is split equally into four parts it is called a quarter. Mrs D’Alessio decided to put them to the test and on Friday they all made pizzas. Each student was able to choose their own toppings for their pizza, but they had to tell Mrs D’Alessio how much they were going to use to put on their pizza using all their knowledge about fractions. Not only did they impress Mrs D’Alessio with what they know about fractions, but they impressed her with their master chef talent.
Well done Year One’s!
