At the Primary Assembly last week, students were introduced to a new reward system for Random Acts of Kindness.

Coloured tokens that represent our four Sport Factions will now be given to students seen to demonstrate Random Acts of Kindness. In class, tokens will be tallied up and at assemblies the overall progress for each Faction will be announced.

Why reward kindness? Kindness is one thing people refer to when they say what helped make their day. It helps people feel wanted, cared for, and gives people hope. We want our College to have this kind of culture. It is one of God’s instructions to us, Love one another as I have loved you. (John 13:34).

We do already see kindness in our community, but it can always be developed further. By encouraging this to happen, we create more opportunities for students to experience the joy it brings, as recipients, and as the providers of kindness.

We want all students to be part of a community that cares, and our school to be known to have this culture.
