Mundaring Christian College welcomed 17 students and three teachers from Kairos Garcia School in Jakarta on Monday.
The students gave an amazing presentation on Indonesia, including a beautiful Dayak dance at both the Primary and the Secondary assembly.
The Indonesian students all really enjoyed their stay with host families. Thank you to the host parents for their wonderful generosity and hospitality to their Indonesian students. The school is forever grateful for your support.
The group truly experienced the Australian culture and outback when they went on a 4WD day trip on Saturday under the direction of Mr Anderson. Thank you to all the teachers and parents that went on the 4WD day for a truly amazing experience.
Students have also been treated to some delicious, classic Australian food. They made pavlova, vegemite and cheese scrolls as well as a good old Aussie pie on Tuesday all under the direction of our very own chef, Mrs Edwards. We are blessed to have fantastic and dedicated teachers, admin staff, as well as supportive parents.
We will have a tug of war and soccer competition at the Secondary Campus on Friday to end the visit, before we head off to Nanga Bush Camp. Mr McNeill, Mr B and I are all looking forward to camp.
