"Hi, my name is Tim Croot and I’m joining the Health and Physical department at MCC. I love all things sport, fitness and health, including my beloved West Coast Eagles. With a background in Basketball, Swimming, AFL and Soccer, I’ve enjoyed being able to teach for the past two years. I also spent two years at Bible College and am passionate about inspiring and investing in young people. I recently became a Dad to a beautiful boy Marlowe, who keeps my wife and I busy. We are part of the church family at C3 Hepburn Heights. In my free time I enjoy going to the beach, playing the guitar, spending time with friends and family. I’m excited to be a part of the staff and school community at Mundaring Christian College next year."

Mrs Nicky Ellery

"I am thrilled to be “officially” part of the team at Mundaring Christian College.

My teaching career started at Swan Christian College in 1989, where I taught for 15 years. During this time I also taught at Eastern Hills SHS in a relief capacity. I am both a Mathematics and Special Needs teacher, with nearly 30 years of experience across a broad range of educational needs. Before taking on a full time role at Mundaring Christian College this year, over the last year I have taught at MCC in a Special Needs, Mathematics and relief capacity. I have taught Mathematics at the highest levels, to include Specialist, and have also complemented this with WACE exam marking over many years, NAPLAN and OLNA marking, and tutoring. I studied at the University of Western Australia, and completed a Science Degree (majoring in Mathematics) and a Diploma of Education.

I have been married for nearly 32years (married youngJ) and have two sons. In January, we welcomed our daughter in law into the family. My husband and I journeyed our childhood in the Darlington Hills and met through Youth Group. Along with my 6 siblings, I attended local state schools. I commenced my Christian walk at age 14, and since then have been involved with: leading Youth groups, attending Beach Missions, Scripture teaching, volunteering at Hollywood Hospital, hospitality, carols, and many other ministries at Eastern Districts Alliance church."

"I studied at ECU and graduated with a B.Ed. in Home Economics and Visual Art. I have worked at Southern Hills Christian College for four years. My teaching passion is for all students to learn to cook and appreciate God’s bountiful world. I love teaching how food journeys from farm to plate and utilising more Australian native foods. A side interest is the art of baking, cake decorating, and learning about international foods. I also have ten years of experience in the hospitality industry and look forward to being able to share my skills with my classes in the coming years. I became passionate about teaching through my involvement with youth group and Sunday school. After a mission trip to China, where I was part of an international team that taught English, I felt drawn by God to become a teacher."

Mr Bolt will be replacing Mr Will Meyer as Head of Student Services.

"I am very much looking forward to starting at MCC. I have most recently been Dean of Students at Ellenbrook Christian College and before that 15 years at Swan Christian College. I completed a Business degree at Curtin University then worked in food brokerage and contract administration in a commercial aluminium window manufacturing business, before going back to University to study teaching. I had a variety of teaching and pastoral care leadership roles, with the biggest being leading the establishment of the Swan Trade Training Centre, providing inspiration and opportunity for students who weren’t really being covered through traditional schooling. I have been married to a very patient woman for 23 years and have two children – Nicholas aged 14 and Samara aged 17. In my spare time I am involved at Riverview Church and am also the Chairman of the X-Speed Australia Cycling Club. I do long course Ironman triathlons for fun and enjoy travelling with my family and planning to go to Gallipoli, Israel and cycling the big mountains of France next year."

Mrs Julie Siebermaire

Hi everyone, I’m Julie Siebermaier and I am delighted to have joined MCC in the role of Academic Administrator at the Secondary campus this year.  My role encompasses academic reporting, timetabling and administrative support to staff.  My diverse background, which includes event & hotel management and aircraft scheduling at Darwin International Airport, are well suited to the duties I am undertaking.  A little about me - travel has been a love of mine for many years and have been lucky to visit many place within Australia and around the world. I also like to sew and have a passion for music.

I am truly excited by the opportunity to contribute to the growth of our students by working with them, their families, and supporting the wonderful staff at MCC.  It is a pleasure to work in such a friendly and professional environment which is strongly supportive in Christian faith and I look forward to growing with MCC into the future.

Ray Hockley

2020/Photo-29-1-20-2-37-04-pm.jpg

My name is Ray Hockley, I am married to Melissa and we have 6 children. I am a committed follower of Jesus who is my Lord and Saviour. I haven’t always been a Christian but since accepting Jesus in my 20’s, I have come to know the freedom of being forgiven and loved as a child of God. I now have purpose and have discovered the joy of living for others.  I have moved to MCC from Swan Christian College where I spent the last 20 years teaching and running the missions and service programs. My role at MCC is teaching HASS and giving support to the Student Services team. I love teaching and have worked all over Western Australian in a variety of teaching roles for the past 33 years. One highlight of my career was the opportunity to take students on mission trips to destinations such as Thailand, Zambia and the Kimberleys. These trips effected myself and the team in profound ways, particularly in helping us to grow in empathy for the marginalised in our world. My goal at MCC, through teaching HASS and developing opportunities for student agency, is to open the students eyes and hearts to the world around them and instil a passion within them for helping others. My hobbies are, walking, golf and watching AFL.

I want to say how very grateful I am at Mundaring Christian College for giving me the opportunity to re-connect with SCEA as a long standing ex-staff member with 20+ years of classroom experience. I began my affiliation with SCEA at Swan Christian College in 1988 fresh out of Mt Lawley Teacher's College, alongside Mr Martin Thyer, Mr Peter Adams and then later Mrs Nicky Ellery.  I left 3 years later for maternity reasons. I returned to the workforce in 2001 and continued with SCEA at Southern Hills Christian College for 16 years where our four children successfully graduated. As a change of pace, I took a part-time position at Bold Park Community School for four years and more recently accepted the part-time position as maternity leave cover for Mrs Jen Sorgiovanni here at Mundaring. I genuinely look forward to sharing this year together with others who want to see Jesus put first in their lives, workplace and community.

I have been happily married for 33 years to my husband Glenn. We now have a large family, made up of four couples, five grandchildren with one more grand-baby expected in late June this year. I am blessed beyond measure and thank God every day for His abundant gifts.

Peter is currently teaching Health and Physical Education and Science from Pre-Primary to Year 10.

Peter writes:

"I started working at Mundaring Christian College last year in Semester 2 as the Primary P.E. teacher. Since starting, I have loved getting to know the Primary families and staff. This year I have the opportunity to start teaching across both Campuses and I’m looking forward to an awesome year ahead.

A bit about me: I have been married for 4 years, no kids yet. I live in Wembley, so it’s a bit of a drive to work and back, but I like a good drive. I’m most passionate about knowing and loving God and sharing what the Bible tells us about God. I love meeting new people and having a chat, so please come and say hello and ask me any questions you have when you see me."
