On Friday 4 March, one of the MCC Bushranger Cadet units used their afternoon to work together for the ‘Clean Up Australia Day’.
The idea came from Mrs Hannen-Williams who thought it might be good for our students to be involved in helping to clean around and in front of our college while gaining an understanding of the significance of such a day. Students rose to the task and after working hard and showing responsibility, managed to fill 12 large garbage bags.
After their efforts, back in class, students were asked how they felt about what they had done. Their responses were profound and mature and exemplified an understanding that it really is not ok to litter in any shape or form because it really does disrupt community.
We were thankful for the opportunity and proud of their efforts. Thank you once again to Mrs Hannen-Williams and to the example set by our own Bushrangers. Well done!
