It was a lovely day on Friday 6 May for the Pre-Primary Mother's Day Vintage Garden Party.
Students and their mother's were asked to come dressed in attire suitable for the occasion. The outfits were amazing and it was delightful to see everyone in their finery! It was just like we had stepped back in time; girls with frilly dresses and bows in their hair and boys wearing braces and hats.
The students were excited to spoil their mums. They began the day doing various activities in the undercover area. Students drew portraits of their mums using old fashion techniques. The charcoal portraits were inspiring pieces of art as the students put effort and enjoyed the experience. There was laughter all around as students and their mums played skipping, noughts and crosses, marbles, elastics, pick up sticks and lawn boules.
Each mum and student had their picture taken with the picnic photo backdrop.
The morning tea was just as wonderful! The picnic rugs were laid out and mother's lined up to choose delicious sandwiches and sweets, which were made both in class and at home.
A big thank you to all the mum's who baked treats and for putting in great effort to make the occasion a fun and memorable one.
