Pre-Kindy, Kindy and Pre-Primary WOW Day

Found in: News

Term 4 got off to a great start with our famous WOW Day. Kindy enjoyed dressing up as Community Helpers and PP had fun with their favourite Celebrations.

From Pre-Kindy
Pre-Kindy is learning about Shapes in the environment. Look around you and see what shapes are there. The shapes might be hiding on the playground, they might be in a book. You might make the shape with playdough, draw it or make it with your body.

From Kindy
The Kindy room has been transformed to house a wonderful ice-cream shop … “How many scoops would you like?” … and don’t forget the chocolate topping. There is also a construction site, where our budding builders are taking inspiration from the likes of the Taj Mahal and the Empire State Building.

Let’s not forget our little wriggly guests, the silkworms. We have been watching them eat copious quantities of mulberry leaves and grow significantly over the last few weeks. They are now beginning to spin and we are looking forward to seeing what happens next. Anyone wanting to come and have a look is very welcome.

From Pre-Primary
The Pre-Primary rooms were filled with very excited children on the first day back. Dressed for their favourite celebration, the children played party games and shared party food. A fine banquet table, complete with a lace tablecloth and fine china is a wonderful dramatic play area in Mrs Sawyer’s room, while Mrs de Bruyn’s class has a focus on wedding photos and family celebrations.
