What a fantastic turn out!
In Week 4 and 5 this term our track and field athletics teams participated in the Western Australian Christian School Sport Association (WACSSA) Athletics Carnival. Field events included Javelin, Shot-put and Long Jump.
Everyone who participated put their best foot forward and gave all they had! It was encouraging to see students who came along as reserves, supporting their fellow peers where needed and making sure they were ready to step in if required. Thank you to our parents and parent helpers who braved the heat to come out and support the College on the day. Well done to everyone and a special congratulations to those who came home with a ribbon.
We started off with a bang, winning and placing in the top 3 for the first 4 races of the day! Well done to our year 5’s and 6’s. Thank you to our fantastic parent helpers and spectators who really enhanced the atmosphere of the event for our team. It wouldn’t be the same without you.
It was great to see how well our students performed and to observe our strengths as well as see what we can develop for next year. Additionally, it was fantastic to see how our students encouraged one another and gave their best effort. These things are integral to a successful athletics team so I look forward to building on their great work ethic to improve our performance next year.
Thank you again to those parents who helped, these carnivals can’t happen without you.
