What a joy it has been getting the Primary Science Club up and running.
Students are full energy and enthusiasm as they learn about circuits, gizmos and coding. They started by build basic electronic circuits on boards called ‘breadboards’. You can see a breadboard in the photo.
Components such as light emitting diodes and transistors can easily be joined together, without using solder, to build circuits. These circuits serve as the building blocks for devices such as robots.
Students are now learning the basics of coding. Each student has a robotic ball that connects wirelessly to their device. They can then learn the basics of coding by constructing computer programs to control the balls movement and colour. The goal is to choreograph the balls to music.
I can't wait to see the final results of their coding efforts.
