Registrations for the new College bus services are due this Sunday 18 August.
Confirmation of the service and routes, and the likely commencement date is subject to registration numbers. As a reminder the additional routes will run in conjunction with the Transperth Midland line, and the three rural School Bus Service lines currently in operation.
The proposed routes are as follows:
• Route 1 – Eastern Run servicing Chidlow to Parkerville
• Route 2 – Western Run servicing Kalamunda to Parkerville
For those students currently using the Shuttle Bus Service, the bus coming on the Western route (from Kalamunda) will first stop at the Primary campus in Mundaring, then continue onto the Secondary campus in Parkerville. The bus coming on the Eastern route (from Chidlow) will first stop at the Secondary campus in Parkerville and then continue onto the Primary campus in Mundaring. The current Shuttle bus will be replaced by the new buses. If you are already using the Shuttle bus, you do not need to re-register. Stops along the current Shuttle bus route will remain the same as they are currently.
The cost of the new routes is $125 per seat, per term, regardless of how often the seat is used. This works out to $1.25 per trip if the bus was used twice daily. However, if you only require the trip between campuses (the Shuttle service), the charge will be $55 per student, per term.
Please complete an online Student Bus Form for your child/ren to register them for the new services by this SUNDAY 18 AUGUST. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Hannen-Williams through the College office.
