On Tuesday night we celebrated the 6th consecutive SCEAvision World Languages Performance Competition at Swan Christian College.
We had around 50 finalists in 17 items performing poetry, song, and drama in eight different languages.
The quality of the performances goes up every year, and if you have not witnessed our students from years 1-12 joyfully showcasing their artistic and languages skills, celebrating their multicultural backgrounds or simply worshipping in a language other than English, please join us next year.
Congratulations to all the contestants who performed on the day and a special congratulations to Brooke, Zara, Opal, and Emily who represented MCC on the night. We are so proud of you! The girls sang the song “Xiao Tuzi” in Mandarin. This song is about two bunnies and a monkey. Whilst the bunnie’s and monkey's mothers went out for a walk, a wolf tried to get into the house. The song tells the story of these three friends.
A huge thank you to all the people involved both at school level and on the night, including staff and principals who came to support the finalists from their school
Thank you to all the parents and guests who came down to support the girls!
We are already looking forward to see what next year has in store!
