Thankful for a break from the rain, the Year 12 Geography class ventured out of the classroom to explore metropolitan Perth on Thursday 15 August.
The trip formed part of their current unit, Planning Sustainable Places. Students spent the day finding examples of the many urban processes that are shaping Perth’s suburbs and city; examining the challenges of transportation and traffic congestion and evaluating the sustainability of major redevelopment projects. According to Jacinta’s steps app we walked 6 kilometres! The Matagarup Bridge, Yagan Square, DOME and a South Perth cormorant were just some of the highlights of the day. A huge thankyou to PathTransit and our driver John who chartered what was a trip of many twists and turns.
