Girls Focus on Mining Camp

Girls, ever wonder what it’s like to work out in the mines?

The Girls Focus on Mining Camp is a five-day residential camp set up for high school girls to experience what it’s like to study and work in the mining industry in WA. You’ll get to tour mine sites, participate in hands-on workshops, and tour Curtin’s Kalgoorlie School of Mines campus.

The tour departs from Perth on Monday 18 January and returns to Perth on Friday 22 January. The program targets girls in Year 10, 11, or 12 who have an interest in science or engineering, and would like an introduction to the mining and resources sector.

Students from throughout WA are welcome to apply. Support is available for regional students to take part in.

The camp is free with all travel, meals and accommodation provided thanks to the support of Saracen Mineral Holdings.

Applications close: 5pm Wednesday 4 November 2020.
