Mundaring Christian College uses Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as a tool to take learning to a deeper level, enabling students to develop the skills they need to function as lifelong learners in society in the 21stcentury. All students from Year 5 to Year 12 are expected to have their own digital learning device.
The BYOD policy outlines the rationale behind the use of ICT in curriculum delivery, why Apple and iPads, as well as terms of classroom use and suggestions for use at home. Parents and students must sign our BYOD User Agreement at the start of each school year.
We recommend that parents read the BYOD purchasing guidelines to help them make the best decision for their family.
Digital Discipleship has become an important aspect of Christian Education as we enable young people to become responsible cyber-citizens and use powerful digital media to achieve good outcomes for themselves and society.
