The Pre-Primary class had fun bringing their grandparents to school for Grandparents Day.
To start the day, Grandparents and students brought their favourite toys and compared similarities and differences with each other. Students then enjoyed a rotation of activities including old fashioned games, crafts and investigating technology items. Some of the favourite activities included making kites and sewing felt purses. Trying out the typewriter was also a highlight. The true highlight of the day was morning tea where students shared muffins with their grandparents which they had baked earlier as well as other healthy snacks. All too soon it was time to say goodbye to the grandparents. Overall it was a wonderful time of interaction and sharing across generations.
