Year 9 Explore Future Pathways at UWA

Our Year 9 students visited the University of Western Australia as part of our Careers Program, offering them a meaningful glimpse of what university life could look like. The day offered a rich mix of presentations, interactive activities and personal stories that helped students imagine the possibilities ahead.

A highlight of the visit was meeting UWA’s student ambassadors. Their insights were invaluable – not only in exploring the wide range of study pathways available, but also in understanding what day-to-day campus life is really like, from lectures and tutorials to study routines. They shared their own journeys, including how they balanced academic commitments, joined clubs and societies and embraced the many opportunities UWA offers. Their honesty and enthusiasm helped students realise that university is not just about assignments, but also about independence, community and personal growth.

Students enjoyed exploring the beautiful campus and asking thoughtful questions as they moved between sessions. The experience broadened their horizons and encouraged them to reflect on their own goals and aspirations as they progress through secondary school. Several conversations throughout the day showed just how impactful the visit was.

We are grateful to UWA for their warm welcome and to our staff for supporting this valuable learning opportunity for our students.
