Our Primary students have been showcasing outstanding teamwork and dedication at several recent sporting events in May and June.
On Friday, 30 May, our teams participated in the WACSSA Soccer Carnival. The Year 5 and 6 Girls finished second in the round-robin competition, while our Year 5 Boys secured two wins and two losses, and the Year 6 Boys showed resilience despite tough competition.
Our Years 3 & 4 Basketball teams competed at the SSWA Carnival on Tuesday, 27 May. The teams demonstrated great teamwork and focused on the fundamentals of the game. Thanks to Coach Phil and our High School helpers for their support on the day.
The Years 5 & 6 Basketball Carnival followed on Wednesday, 4 June. The Year 5 Boys came close to making the grand final, losing in overtime to the Year 6 Boys in the playoff round. The Year 5 Girls showed exceptional teamwork, while the Year 6 teams held their ground in competitive divisions.
Finally, on Friday, 13 June, our netball teams braved the rain at the WACSSA Netball Carnival. We took four teams and were blessed to have some amazing parent volunteers taking on the role of Coach for each team. The Year 5 Girls were Division B champions, the Year 6 Girls finished 2nd in Division B, and both our Year 5 and Year 6 Boys teams finished 2nd in their divisions.
A huge thank you to Mrs Sursok for all her effort in arranging these incredible carnivals, giving our students the opportunity to compete. Thank you also to everyone who contributed to making these events a success!
