Highlights from the Secondary Assembly – 27 November

On Wednesday, 27 November, the Secondary Campus hosted an action-packed assembly.

The assembly began with a fantastic performance by the MCC Band, followed by Principal Mr Doug Holtam’s engaging address to students about the importance of setting stretch goals that challenge and inspire them.

The Deans of Year announced the Student Ambassadors for 2025 and presented the Term 4 Character Strengths awards.

The 2025 Year 12 Student Leaders will be announced at the Secondary Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, 10 December, and the Year 7 Student Leaders will be selected in Term 1.

The Student Ambassadors for 2025 are as follows:

Year 8

Year 9
Madison B, Leah C, Bianca F, Isla H, Chloe K, James R, Angelica T and Taj T

Year 10

Year 11
Selena L, Xun K, Zara S and Mikayla T

We also bid farewell to our departing staff, thanking them for their contributions.

Mr Mark Entwistle energised the crowd while presenting the Physical Education Awards and announcing MacKenzie House as the 2024 House Points winner. Congratulations to MacKenzie!

The assembly wrapped up with the Mega House Point Draw and a beautiful Christmas song from Lovenia A (Year 11). Miss Bezuidenhout then shared the exciting Christmas activities planned for next week.

It was a meaningful assembly filled with great highlights as we approach the year’s final weeks.
