Our Week 8 Secondary Assembly was a celebration of courage and character.
College Captains Ben and Abbey confidently opened the event, leading the school in prayer and setting a thoughtful tone. Mr Holtam followed with a message on courage, drawn from the story of David and Goliath. He and Year 8 student, Ryder A, brought the story to life – Ryder as David with a Nerf gun, and Mr Holtam as Goliath with a wooden sword. Presented in a light-hearted yet respectful way, the re-enactment helped students connect with the message in a meaningful and engaging format.
Other highlights included a video from the recent Year 11 Camp, Mr Entwisle’s recap of the ACC Interschool Cross Country, and Mrs Carcione’s update on the Interschool Equestrian competition.
A key feature of the assembly was the presentation of the Term 2 Character Strength Awards, recognising students who consistently demonstrate virtues that enrich our College community and inspire others.
