Year 11 CFC Fundraising & Excursion Highlights

Fantastic Fundraising and an Excursion for Year 11 Children, Family and the Community Students

As part of their coursework on “Helping Others,” Year 11 Children, Family, and the Community (CFC) students took a class excursion to Samaritans Purse, where they delivered their filled shoeboxes.

During the excursion, the students had the opportunity to share the generosity of our MCC families, who raised $1,861.41 and helped donate 65 shoe boxes.

This fantastic fundraising effort was the accumulation of two terms of collaborative work, where the CFC students worked tirelessly: planning, fundraising, and collecting for Operation Christmas Child.

The Bunnings Sausage Sizzle was the highlight of their fundraising efforts, with the students clearly enjoying the experience of running a successful event.

On their excursion to Samaritans Purse, the students worked with other volunteers and staff to repack shoe boxes, which will be delivered to children who have never received a gift.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all who donated to this year’s Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box appeal.
