Year 3 “Wonderful Water’ Assembly

The Year 3 students had a wonderful opportunity to share some of their Term 3 learning with the Primary Campus at the Year 3 Assembly. Students spent many days practising their lines and beautiful singing.

As a class, they decided to share what they had learned about some of the changes in their local community of Mundaring. Using the topic of ‘Wonderful Water’, they explored where families used to get their water from and compared it to where we get our water from today. They were amazed at the changes over time and that some ways we get our water have stayed the same! They shared the fabulous things they learnt from their informative excursion to Mundaring Weir and some of the fascinating things learnt from the hands-on experiments they participated in with a presenter from The Water Corporation.

We learnt in John 7:38 that Jesus declares: “Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” This verse paints a vivid picture of believers, filled with the Holy Spirit, becoming like streams of living water, sharing Jesus’s love and grace with the world.
