Exciting Week of Athletics
During Week 2, students at the Primary campus enthusiastically participated in the field and track athletic carnivals.
The Year 5 and 6 students kicked off the week with their high jump competitions, with Marchall B (Hedley, Year 6) setting a new boys record of 1.23m.
The Year 3 to 6 athletes participated in the field events carnival held at our campus oval on Wednesday, whilst our junior athletes (Year 1 and 2) had their field events carnival on Thursday afternoon. Owen C (Tester, Year 3) set a new turbo javelin record, Cailyn S (MacKenzie, Year 3) set a new shot-put record, Judd H (Tester, Year 4) and Catanya C (Mackenzie, Year 4) set a new long jump and shot-put record respectively.
The Friday House Carnival allowed athletes from Years 1 to 6 to showcase their talents on the track while representing their Houses in the Team Games events. It was a fantastic day that highlighted faction spirit, team camaraderie, and the students’ grit and determination.
The final Champion results were as follows:
1st MacKenzie 1694 points
2nd Dunn-Scott 1427 points
3rd Tester 1277 points
4th Hedley 1139 points
